SHERMAN, Conn.—The Sherman Players will present Brad Blake’s “naughty” holiday revue, “Wreck the Halls,” weekends through Saturday, Dec. 20, at Sherman Playhouse, 5 Route 39 North.

Nothing is sacred in this “slay” ride of adult humor that rips the shiny bows and pretty wrapping off the holiday season. The show features two acts of original music-filled satire and burlesque.

According to composer Blake, “For me, there’s no greater Christmas present than hearing the laughter responding to my crazy holiday songs and the audience appreciation of the cast, band and crew that make up our ‘Wreck the Halls’ family.”

The Sherman production features veteran area actors Bret Bisaillon of Watertown, and Anya Caravella and Kevin McNulty, New Milford, along with Diana Matson Peterson, Priscilla Squiers and Alexis Vournazos, all of Danbury.

Directed and choreographed by the multitalented Blake, who makes his home in Woodbury, the production features music direction by Charles Smith of Danbury, and a live band.

The show is produced by Sherman Players Technical Director Al Chiappetta of Sherman, with production design by Blake and Chiappetta. Tina Morissette of Brookfield serves as production stage manager, assisted by Matthew MacGregor of New Fairfield.

“Wreck the Halls” opens Friday, Nov. 28, and Saturday, Nov. 29, and continues on on Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. There will be three 2 p.m. Sunday matinees on Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and 14.

Due to adult humor, “Wreck the Halls” is not recommended for the younger elves.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students (with ID) and may be purchased online at www.ticketleap.events/events/shermanplayers.For general information about Sherman Players, its season and volunteer opportunities, please visit shermanplayers.org or email admin@shermanplayers.org.
