GAYLORDSVILLE, Conn.—Summer tours are underway at the Merwinsville Hotel, 1 Brown’s Forge Road, during July, August, and early September.
Visitors can view the special art show celebrating 250 years of America and cast their People’s Choice ballots.

There is a museum on the second floor with rooms featuring historical toys and dolls, period clothing and a wide variety of historic tools. The renovated ballroom is on the third floor.
The hotel is open each Sunday in July and August from 2 to 4 p.m. It closes for the season on Sept. 11. Admission is free but donations are welcomed to assist in the continuing restoration work.
