WATERBURY, Conn.—The Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging is offering a free Live Well Chronic Conditions Phone Workshop held on Wednesdays from May 13 to June 17.
The sessions will be led by Abbey Ellner, WCAAA wellness coordinator, and are designed to equip seniors with practical ways to manage chronic conditions and live well.

The sessions, which are conducted via the telephone, will address such ongoing health conditions as arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and depression. It is also open to caregivers.
Participants will learn practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, how to achieve better nutrition, exercise choices, better ways to talk to your doctor about your health, communication techniques to make your needs known and how to make a step-by-step plan to improve life.

Participants only need a telephone and can connect from home. Workshop materials will be mailed out. Space is limited.
