KENT, Conn.—Betty Krasne, writer and professor emerita, will launch her Spring Book Discussion Series, “Changing the World … or Not” on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 4:30 p.m. The series is conducted online.
For the series, Krasne has selected four vastly different novels that explore inflection points when societies are called upon to change. How that does, or does not, work out is what moves readers through the pages of these books.
They take place in different centuries and different parts of the world but each of the stories involves characters who are caught up in historical events, inflection points that they are forced to confront.
