KENT, Conn.—It takes a village to carry on the rich panoply of programs offered through the Kent Memorial Library when that august institution closes its doors and moves to a new location.

But the village has coalesced and a variety of programs have been announced for this week – the first week of February – as the library transfers to its soon-to-be temporary location in Kent Green. R

Rhythm & Rhyme continues during the transition on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the House of Books, 10 North Main St. The program is for infants through 3-year-olds
In the News: Conversations will be held Thursdays, Feb. 5 and 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the town hall. discussion on the events of the day. This open discourse program meets the first and third Thursdays of each month and the group sets the agenda. It is moderated by Rick Levy and is free and open to the public. Please email to register.
French Fridays continues Friday, Feb. 6, at 9:30 a.m. at an off-site location. The French Conversation Group meets the first and third Fridays of each month and is free and open to the public. Please email to register for the new location while the library is closed.
The library will be closed Monday, Feb. 16, for Presidents Day but operations will resume in the latter half of February at 10-12 Landmark Lane.
