KENT, Conn.—The Kent Chamber of Commerce has alerted members that there is a security issue affecting Facebook Business Suite (Meta Business Manager).

Many Meta/Facebook users have received fake “High Priority” notifications with alarming titles such as “Court Notice: You may be a member in a lawsuit over Facebook’s Potential Reach.”

These are phishing scams designed to look official and trick users into clicking through to off-Facebook websites, often impersonating Meta legal or support pages. Once clicked, they may try to harvest credentials or other sensitive information.

At the moment, Meta does not offer a way to remove or dismiss these scam alerts from the Notification section, and they appear alongside normal notifications in Meta Business Suite.

Chamber members should not click on any suspicious alerts, even if they look urgent or legal in nature.

If something suspicious is seen, forward a screenshot to KTC Marketing by emailing thisisketc.com, or calling 646-339-1030.

KTC will report the issue to Meta directly and monitor it across all its clients.
