The Bulls Bridge falls were roaring Wednesday morning as heavy rain and melting snow swelled the Housatonic River. Photo by Kathryn Boughton

KENT—The Housatonic River was running at full throttle the morning of Jan. 10 as it tumbled over Bulls Bridge, but Kent was relatively unscathed by the heavy rains of the night before.

Several roads—Kent Hollow between Anderson Acres and Beardsley Road; Camps Flat between Geer Mountain and Mud Pond, and Schaghticoke Road—were closed because of flooding in the morning, but the rest of the town went smoothly about its business.

By the morning of Jan. 11, only Schaghticoke Road remained closed, and Camps Flat was open for use with caution.
